March 2012 Digital Edition

A Cloud-y Future for MPS?

The cloud is certainly growing at a rapid rate and is getting much attention. And yes, it will have an impact on print, especially when mobility is factored into the discussion, among other things. Our March cover story addresses where to look for the best benefits and why, and includes the relatively simple fact: “that solution providers’ should focus on the customers’ business needs first and provide solutions, not just products.” Other interesting reads in this issue include: Printing from Apps, Security printing issues, and Finding the “X” Factor in MPS sales.

As always, these strategies are within each issue of imageSource – and – in April, the latest tools at ITEX Expo 2012, where you’ll learn of new turn-key solutions that you can take to the bank.

Addressing Printing’s Pressing Security Concerns

by Arron Fu, Uniprint
imageSource asked Arron Fu, VP of Software Development at UniPrint, to look at the security weaknesses in enterprise printing environments and explore the role that technology is playing in safeguarding the printing landscape. Just as email was twenty years ago, corporate printing environments today are, typically, uncontrolled and unmonitored. Extremely sensitive data is encrypted, safeguarded and highly prized as an asset. For most firms however, this is where the security ends. As soon as a document is sent to a printer, security is often overlooked.

by Corey Smith, Dealer Marketing Systems
If you’ve listened to the radio lately or have seen this message online, you’ll have noticed that more and more ads are proclaiming that if you add social media to your email marketing, you’ll be able to supercharge your overall email marketing campaign.
