Built from the ground up by founder Tony Golobic more than 23 years ago, GreatAmerica has always been a company that values integrity and service to its customers. Financing and Beyond
GreatAmerica established its headquarters in Cedar Rapids, Iowa in 1992 as GreatAmerica Leasing Corporation. Over the past 23 years, GreatAmerica grew to a $1.7 billion national commercial equipment finance company. In 2012, they changed their name to GreatAmerica Financial Services Corporation to reflect expanded service offerings beyond financing including PathShare HR Services, Collabrance Managed IT Services, the organization of five Managed IT Peer Groups with Service Leadership, Inc. (S-L GAMIT Groups), FleetView remote monitoring and FleetBilling.
GreatAmerica is organized into eight business units, including the Office Equipment Group, the unit upon which the company was formed. Each unit immerses itself into the market it serves and strives to be an extension of its customers’ teams—not just a vendor to them, but a true partner. The company now has a staff of more than 400 with offices in Iowa, Georgia, Minnesota, and Missouri. Financing and consulting services are offered in all 50 states and some U.S. Territories.
GreatAmerica has become an employer of choice in Eastern Iowa and has been recognized in the area with several “Best Place to Work” awards.
Dealers in the office technology industry have recognized GreatAmerica as well, with the Business Technology Association’s (BTA’s) 2015 Channel’s Choice award in the Third-Party Leasing category. The Channel’s Choice awards program provides dealers with a means of recognizing and honoring those vendors that are the most supportive of the dealer channel.
Last October, GreatAmerica scored a record 4.67 out of 5.0 in overall satisfaction in the Leasing Companies section of The Cannata Report’s 2014 Annual Dealer Survey. In fact, GreatAmerica has received the highest dealer rating in five out of the last six Cannata surveys.
