Two New Workgroup MFPs
8/28/2007

InfoPrint Solutions Company, a joint venture between IBM and Ricoh, announced the launch of its latest devices aimed at improving office productivity and accelerating workgroup optimization, the InfoPrint Color 1759 MFP and 1769 MFP. Both the InfoPrint 1759 and 1769 delivers:
a.. Outstanding monochrome print speeds with light production color print functionality, allowing for on demand color printing and the ability to keep color print projects in-house.
b.. Intuitive 8” vivid touch screen provides fast navigation for copying, scanning, faxing and printing – improving office productivity.
c.. Multi-layered security features to assist in document confidentiality, including built-in encryption, physical printer security and PIN control for jobs sizes.
d.. Color Care Technology that controls color through assignable print permissions, monochrome proofing options and three levels of toner saver and mono only drivers, reducing up to 50 % of costs.
e.. USB Direct Printing and scanning port to simplify tasks, whether basic or advanced scan, scan to email, or copy fax and print jobs.
f.. Flexible finishing options such as hole-punch, offset, staple, saddle stitch and fold, bringing professional finishing options to in-house projects.

Workgroups of all sizes can get more done with these versatile and reliable color MFPs. Both models include a 1.25 GHz processor, 512MB of standard memory, included duplex and multiple standard input sources and fast print speeds. The 1759 MFP can work up to 30 ppm1 color or 40 ppm1 monochrome letter/A4 (18 ppm1 color or 22 ppm1 11”x17”/A3). The 1769 MFP prints at speeds of up to 40 ppm1 color or 45 ppm1 monochrome letter/A4 (18 ppm1 color or 22 ppm1 11”x17”/A3).

The customizable award-winning 8” color touch screen provides access to easy-to-use, walk-up MFP functions. Standard color copy/print/scan and mono fax, with a 75-sheet ADF, three input sources, duplex and 80GB hard drive can help increase end user productivity.

These wide format MFPs are designed with the user in mind. Features and functionality are optimized to be intuitive, convenient and user friendly. The Automatic Document Feeder (ADF) can quickly scan both sides of large jobs, or use the flatbed glass for delicate or bound items. The MFP can also identify most different-size pages as they scan and print them on the correct size paper.
