The Computing Technology Industry Association (CompTIA) announced it
will present a two-day educational program here on profitability strategies for
technology resellers in and around the greater Atlanta area. "Managing for
Profitability" is scheduled for May 12 and 13 at the DoubleTree Club Hotel, 3400
Norman Berry Drive, Atlanta.
"Continuing educating for the technology sector is one of our key
initiatives," said William Vanderbilt, vice president, education and training,
CompTIA. "The goal is to enhance the financial strength of the entire
information technology community. The workshop planned for Atlanta next month
will provide participants with insights into best business practices and models
for long-term financial success and growth."
Topics scheduled to be covered include strategies for developing successful
business, sales, marketing, and financial plans; financial benchmarks that are
especially relevant for technology companies; how to capitalize on service
revenue opportunities; and understanding the profit potential in selling
supplies. The cost of the workshop is $845 for CompTIA members and $995 for
CompTIA is presenting the workshop in conjunction with the Taylor Business
Group, a firm with over 20 years of management and promotional marketing
experience. The workshop is part of CompTIA's ongoing educational programs for
