Katun: One TRILLION Pages Produced Using Over 150 New Products in 201318 Sep, 2013
Minneapolis, MN (August 2013) – Katun Corporation, one of the world’s leading providers of OEM-compatible imaging supplies, announced today that one trillion pages have been produced on printers, copiers and other imaging equipment using Katun®, Katun Performance™, Katun® Business Color and Media Sciences® color and monochrome toners.
According to Katun President and CEO Todd Mavis “we estimate that more than one trillion pages have been produced by customers using Katun color and monochrome toners since our inception in 1979. This is a significant achievement, and we want to thank all of our customers, employees, and partners for helping us achieve this exciting milestone.”
The company is on track to launch over 150 new products for printers, copiers and MFPs this year. Through July 2013, nearly 100 new products have been introduced for a wide range of OEM machines, including Brother, Canon, Dell, HP, Kyocera, Konica Minolta, Ricoh, Sharp, Samsung, Toshiba and Xerox.
To help dealer and distributor customers optimize their operational efficiency and increase profitability, the company is also introducing new online tools for customers in many markets, including an online catalog customer dashboard and a new mobile site. The dashboard, viewable from any page within the online catalog, shows customers their order history and rebate status, and identifies new products and cost saving opportunities. Katun’s new mobile site presents customers with a modified version of the Katun Online Catalog, where they can easily and intuitively search and order products via their smart phones and other mobile devices.
This marks the second time this year the company has announced the achievement of a significant milestone. In May 2013, Katun announced that the company’s color toners had produced over 25 billion color pages, supporting the announcement with a global messaging campaign thanking all the business partners who had contributed to the milestone. The campaign included a full page ad in the Wall Street Journal.
