Managed Print Services Association Announces Winners of Fourth Annual MPSA Leadership Awards29 May, 2012
Columbus, OH – May 25, 2012 –The Managed Print Services Association (MPSA) has announced the six winners of the 2012 MPSA Leadership Awards. The awards were presented Friday, May 25 at the TRANSFORM 2012 Conference at a special lunch hosted by the MPSA, a Gold Sponsor of the industry event.
Through the awards program, now in its fourth year, the MPSA promotes best practices and innovation as demonstrated by leaders in this market. “The selection process showed the high level of customer service and best practice, as companies look for innovative ways to help customers reap the full value of MPS. Clearly, the MPS customer is the ultimate beneficiary of the best practices represented by these winners,”said Newry.
“The achievements of the organizations give our industry authoritative sources for industry definition and scope that benefit both vendors and end users,” added outgoing MPSA President, Joe Barganier. MPSA Leadership Award winners also gain unique visibility and credibility within the MPSA community and the global MPS market.

The winning organizations represent all facets of the global MPS industry. Awards were presented in these categories:
GreatAmerica Leasing Corp.
Category: Professional Services - Organization with more than one full time employee providing training, research or consultancy.
Preo Software, Inc.
Category: Software Provider - Organization that develops software for MPS, whether sales management, device management, user management, service management or billing.
Category: Independent MPS Provider - Organization that has no reseller agreement with one or more manufacturers such as facility management companies, IT managed services providers, consumable distributors/retailers with direct or channel MPS programs.
Smartprint Fleet Management
Category - Regional MPS Provider - Non-US organization selling managed print services not owned by a manufacturer, but may be tied to reselling one or more brands; includes consumable resellers with an MPS offering.
ARC Document Solutions
Category: Indirect/Reseller Award - Organization selling managed print services which is not owned by a manufacturer but may be tied to reselling one or more brands; includes consumable resellers with an MPS offering.
Category: Direct/OEM- An organization selling managed print services, which is owned directly or indirectly by a manufacturer (includes branches and any subsidiaries)
Compelling Examples of MPS Value
The annual competition, now in its fourth year, is open to any company or vendor involved in the MPSmarket. Entries were selected by six peer judges from the MPSA Board of Directors, whoconsidered MPS best practices, operational fit, flexibility and growth, as well as business benefits and ROI.
“A ground-breaking and successful MPS related project or product is only the starting point for an award-winning entry,” said Awards Chairman and MPSA Board Member, Robert Newry. “The more difficult task is showing how and why a program or service for the MPS market space was successful, ground-breaking or outstanding. The winners in all these categories all documented a compelling story of why they deserved to win.”

Another winner, Smartprint, is the first MPS Leadership Award winner from Australia.
