O’Neil Exits as Panasonic Channel Chief24 Oct, 2013
USA/Japan - October 2013 - Sheila O’Neil, vice president of Panasonic’s North America solutions channel officially announced her departure from the channel chief post, a change resulting from reorganization within the company and her personal desire to explore new opportunities.
In an e-mail to colleagues and friends, O’Neil reflected on her 16 years a Panasonic and future prospects.
“This is bittersweet for me; over half of my professional career has been with Panasonic. I’ve learned so much in both my work and personally as well as growing as a person. So many of you have become such good friends and I know that won’t change … I don’t know where I’ll end up just yet but I will be taking some time to decompress and enjoy the breather before I step into a new and exciting challenge,” she wrote.
O’Neil is well known for her deft hand at managing channels, participation in numerous community and industry groups such as the CompTIA Vendor Advisory Board, and friend of solution providers far and wide.
No disruptions or immediate changes are expected in the Panasonic channel program as a result of her departure.
