Atlanta, GA - August 28, 2013 - OPIS and associates, a joint venture sales/marketing firm with locations throughout the southeast that provides sales and marketing solutions to the office products and imaging specialist channel, is pleased to announce that Martin Zimmerman has been elected Managing Director of the firm.
Mr. Zimmerman brings a wealth of industry experience and knowledge based on his multi-channel engagements in the office products industry as an independent dealer entrepreneur, power channel sales executive and a manufacturer representative.
As a founding member, Martin will guide and implement the firms' strategy to transform OPIS from a regional sales/marketing firm into an industry leader with a national footprint.
Mr. Zimmerman comments on the Florida market “New account acquisition prospects are highly favorable with the upcoming consolidation in the power channel. Territory demographics indicate that Florida has 172 independent imaging dealers. This dealer community employs over 5,000 associates; 1/3 or 1,700 are feet on the street sales associates. State-wide revenues exceed $1.3 billion for this group and active accounts total 240,000."
