TOSHIBA to Donate More Than $200,000 in New Technology Equipment TO U.S. Non Profit Organizations17 Jan, 2013
United States - January 15, 2013 - Toshiba announced it has coordinated its efforts for Non Profit Organizations to enter the Toshiba Helping the Helpers Technology Makeover Contest on Facebook with Entries due by January 31, 2013.
Specifically: Toshiba America Business Solutions, Inc. is awarding more than $200,000 in new technology equipment to nonprofit organizations through its second annual Toshiba Helping the Helpers Technology Makeover contest. The contest is open to any nonprofit charity in the United States with a valid 501 (c) 3 status. The grand prize winner receives a $102,000 technology makeover as well as an award-winning Encompass™ Analysis to help uncover hidden cost savings opportunities with the four finalists earning a prize package worth up to $31,000 in new equipment and services. More than 150 nonprofits throughout the United States submitted entries for the augural Toshiba Helping the Helpers contest last year.
To enter, a nonprofit representative must submit a two-minute or less video on Toshiba’s corporate social responsibility (CSR) Facebook portal, Toshiba for Good (www.facebook.com/ToshibaForGood) describing their organization’s unique mission and goals while explaining how a technology makeover would benefit their charity. The deadline to enter is January 31.
The selected organizations will receive a prize package of Toshiba products and services – which could include a new e-STUDIO™ multifunction printers, all-in-one desktop computers, Protégé® laptops, LED HDTVs, CAMILEO® camcorders, Excite™ tablets, telephone systems and even energy-saving LED light bulbs to help them reduce costs, streamline operations and conserve resources. Toshiba will post the nonprofits’ video entries and announce the contest’s five finalists on its CSR Facebook portal on February 11. Once the final finalists are identified, the American public will then select the grand prize winner via on Toshiba for Good with the winning entrant chosen on March 10.
