Value-Added Resellers (VARs) now have the ability to expand beyond hardware-only solution portfolios and transform into managed service providers (MSPs). ADTRAN ProCloud is a platform of managed services that includes a turnkey model as well as the flexibility of a partner-branded option. This duality helps streamline a path for ADTRAN partners to rapidly launch reliable cloud-managed services and transform their business models by significantly reducing deployment times, helping them become more competitive with a recurring revenue model. Partners’ enthusiasm for the program is exemplified by ProCloud services growth that has nearly doubled quarter over quarter in 2014.

ProCloud was launched with a managed Wi-Fi model that has been used by VARs to significantly increase business within the small to medium business and enterprise markets, as well as in education, stadiums, retail and other entities as they deal with the impact of users bringing their own devices onto networks. With a viable managed service option, these customers can opt out of the high upfront capital costs of a broad Wi-Fi deployment, quickly meet user needs and rapidly scale deployments as demand increases—all without requiring additional internal IT resources. ADTRAN’s VAR partners will be able to layer additional, industry-specific services on top of the managed Wi-Fi service to generate additional value and revenue. Services like security and content filtering have been of particular interest.
