With continued investment and improvements in its information technology
capabilities, manufacturing and distribution company ACM Technologies, Inc. has
been able to establish a worldwide presence in the OEM products, aftermarket
supplies and parts industry. One of the company’s greatest tools has been its
business-to-business “eCatalog” online ordering portal. 

eCatalog has provided ACM customers an easy method to not only order
products, but search through the company’s varieties of accessories, OEM and
compatible imaging supplies and parts. In addition, customers can check pricing,
view order history, track shipping status, obtain account information and
invoice history on the website.

“Our goal is to provide a site that can increase our customers’ productivity,
and make working with ACM a seamless part of their daily business process,” said
Judy Liao, ACM marketing manager. “We built this system from scratch using the
needs of our customers as our primary goal.”

The eCatalog site uses the latest Web-based application technology to deliver
an e-commerce solution designed specifically for its customers. “We need more
than a typical e-commerce solution to better serve our domestic and overseas
customers quickly and efficiently,” Liao said. “I have been working side-by-side
with our Web Development Team to ensure that our online offerings complement the
service that we have been providing for the past 15 years. We want our customers
to know that the eCatalog site is designed to increase their productivity and
make working with ACM Technologies, Inc. a seamless part of their business.”  

The eCatalog website offers an intuitive user interface and is presented in a
self-serve, browser-based environment.

“With upcoming new features such as a ‘Wish List’ and ‘New Product
Announcements via Email,’ eCatalog site users will gain greater productivity,”
Liao said. “It is much faster and easier to navigate and browse through our over
5,000 SKU inventory.”  

The eCatalog is designed with features tailored to the needs of ACM’s
customers, including:

24/7 Online Ordering - With an eCatalog account, users have the ability to place
orders anytime and from anywhere.

Product History Search - A customer can view the status of invoices and order
history, which allows them to quickly see what items they have ordered in the

Quick Order Entry - This option allows users to place an order quickly by
entering only the item numbers and quantity of the products they want.

Order Confirmation via Email - Once an order is placed, ACM will confirm it via
email within minutes. After the order is shipped, the customer will receive an
order confirmation along with a tracking number.  

Multiple User Accounts - An account can be set up to allow multiple users from a
company to place orders online.

eAlert - eAlert is a periodic announcement of new products, specials and
upcoming events to keep eCatalog site users informed via email. These
money-saving specials are available only to eCatalog registered users who place
their orders online.

“The ACM Web Development Team is constantly looking for ways to improve
theusability of our website,” Liao said. “We can offer our customers a higher
level of information access along with our ability to ship the same day. We will
continually improve our site and we hope it will help our customers find what
they are looking for faster and easier.”
