Carolina Wholesale at ITEX 2011

Carolina Wholesale, one of the largest office machines and supply
distributors in the U.S., is exhibiting at ITEX 2011 National Expo & Conference
in Washington, D.C. in March. Powered by the OKI Printing Solutions brand,
Carolina Wholesale will exhibit OKI Printing Solutions’ BTA exclusive line of CX
products, in addition to other print solutions to help customers manage their
devices and streamline business processes.

Carolina Wholesale started selling OKI Printing Solutions’ dot matrix
printers in the late 80’s, then picked up the LED printer and facsimile lines in
the 90’s. More recently, Carolina became an OKI Data Americas Master BTA
Distributor, providing sales and support to indirect BTA dealers who wish to
purchase the OKI Printing Solutions’ MPS Ready and CX product lines.

This past year, Carolina Wholesale launched a new OKI Printing Solutions
Dealer Advantage Program, offering a comprehensive selection of products,
programs and services to enhance BTA dealer support coast-to-coast and provide a
one-stop-shop for their print and copy needs.

Jackie Paralis, OKI Printing Solutions’ Senior Marketing Manager for Channel
Development, explains, “Carolina Wholesale has been a trusted partner of OKI
Printing Solutions’ for 20 years, serving the specialized needs of BTA dealers
throughout the U.S., providing them with such benefits as: competitive pricing,
warehousing and inventory storage, faster delivery times, free hotline support,
and service and warranty support, to name a few.”

In this changing economy, Carolina Wholesale will continue to play a
significant role in managing and supporting OKI Printing Solutions’ BTA dealer
network by providing day-to-day product sales, training, fulfillment and
support. Brent Martin, Marketing Director for Carolina Wholesale, adds, “It’s
important for us to find innovative ways to go to market in this economy and the
print and MFP offerings OKI Printing Solutions brings forth allow us to expand
and assist the dealer community in maintaining their competitive edge in a
commoditized market.”

Carolina Wholesale provides many major benefits and value-adds for the BTA
dealer such as: access to pricing that is typically reserved for direct
relationships; competitive price breaks from a distributor who can house
high-volume inventory; and just-in-time deliveries and drop shipments.  These
advantages are especially beneficial to the smaller dealers who lack the capital
to make bulk purchases.

Also, Carolina Wholesale’s five distribution centers in Atlanta, Charlotte,
Chicago, Los Angeles and Philadelphia enable the delivery of next day or 2nd day
service to the entire continental U.S.  In addition to shipments to any location
in the world, local will-call pick-up is available at all five distribution
centers. From these locations, Carolina Wholesale will offer just-in-time
delivery of OKI Printing Solutions’ products and services, accompanied by great
savings, improved overall response time, and a higher level of personalized
support and reliability to the dealer.

Larger trends in today’s office equipment market such as Managed Print,
customized solutions and enhanced services will provide additional opportunities
for the Carolina Wholesale - OKI Printing Solutions’ business relationship to
grow. Managed Print Services are projected to experience double digit growth
through 2014.  And solutions and services, which accounted for only 25% of the
total 2008 market, is projected to grow to 40% share by 2013.  From both a
market and product perspective, businesses are focusing on streamlining
processes and workflow due to continuing economic pressures.

Carolina Wholesale will showcase some of its “Solutions for Success” powered
by the OKI Printing Solutions brand, at ITEX 2011. Attendees can stop by their
booth for a demonstration of:

Desktop Capture Solution: Standard across all OKI Printing Solutions’
MFP platforms, this turnkey solution provides an automated process to convert
paper documents into preferred electronic formats; automatically launches
metadata entry at time of document upload; and provides drag and drop interface
with existing document management software such as Microsoft® SharePoint®
Server, DocuWare® and QuickBooks®.  All this is available right from the desktop
to help improve overall business efficiencies and decrease manual entry of data
from days to hours. For today’s dealer, it only makes sense to operate in both
the MFP, DMS, and MPS spaces, as their convergence accelerates.

Digital Pen Solution: In collaboration with the Anoto Group, Digital
Pen combines Anoto’s penDocuments Pro software with OKI Printing Solutions’
color printers and MFPs, creating the ultimate solution for digital data and
signature capture. The Digital Pen uses an infrared camera to record writing
motion while monitoring its position on specially formatted documents, so users
can combine handwritten input with electronic copies of business forms and
digitize electronic signatures captured during field sales and service calls.

As part of their ongoing commitment to BTA dealer education, Carolina
Wholesale and OKI Printing Solutions will soon take to the road together to
educate dealers on how to effectively and efficiently enhance their business
offerings to help them better compete in today’s marketplace.  You can learn
about these upcoming road shows at
Before embarking, OKI Printing Solutions and Carolina Wholesale will make an
important stop in Washington, D.C., March 22-23, 2011, and exhibit at ITEX,
Booth # 501 at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center.
