Going Green In your Dealership


Below are just a few tips to help your Dealership not only
become more energy efficient

and save money with healthier workplace habits, but also to
help teach your customers to do the same.


1. Become Energy Star Compliant - The ENERGY STAR program
designates products including copiers, printers, and MFPs as being highly energy
efficient. It saves:

• Electricity – stand by modes

• Paper – duplex standard


2. Use Multifunctional Machines - MFPs that can copy,
print, fax & scan maximizes office efficiency. They save:

• Toner – fewer types of toner cartridges required

• Fuel – cost of receiving a variety of toners for a
variety of printers

• Electricity – fewer items plugged in that waste power

• Space – fewer devices in the office environment needed


3. Maximize Scanning Capabilities - Scanning is the method
of capturing and converting paper docs/images into electronic images. They save:

• Paper – less impact and easier to distribute via email

• Electricity – less power required to copy

• Space – less resources needed to store paper based


4. Utilize Remote Diagnostic Service/Software - This is
software that allows your dealer to contact a machine in the field and make
adjustments to it’s performance and/or configurations. It saves:

• Fuel – not always necessary to send a technician out for

• Electricity – allows the machine to perform at its
efficient best


5. Employ Paperless Faxing - This is faxing with less or no
paper directly from Window’s Applications.

• Paper – for fax and laser printer

• Toner – for fax and laser printer

• Electricity – to power both the printer and fax
