Toshiba e-Studio 35

e-STUDIO35 and e-STUDIO45 are “sister” products that feature digital copying
directly from the device and printing, copying, scanning and faxing remotely
from any desktop computer on the network.

technology is leveraged to a maximum degree. These sophisticated units offer
document storage, electronic sorting, magazine sorting, page numbering, 2400 x
600 dpi copying and printing, rotated output and other advanced digital features
that are in demand in today’s offices. Standard hardware includes two paper
sources, a trayless duplex unit, 32 MB memory, and a 4.3 GB hard disk drive.

innovations include a vertical paper path, an internal output tray, a fast
30-second warm-up, and trayless duplexing. These features increase user
efficiency and system reliability by reducing the possibility of paper jams and
increasing productivity. The vertical paper path and internal output tray result
in a compact footprint much smaller than previous generations of copier/printers
for small and midsize workgroups. These mechanical innovations significantly
reduce the overall system cost.

major benefit of the new e-STUDIO products is their versatility. The modular
design allows end-users to customize the basic models to fit their needs. For
example, a base machine can be upgraded by adding a Reversing Automatic Document
Feeder (RADF), choice of finishers, a hole punch unit and the choice of a stand,
a paper feed pedestal or a large capacity feeder. The paper handling
capabilities of both units can be expanded up to 3,700 sheets with optional
feeding trays, greatly increasing productivity.

e-STUDIO products offer a “best-in-class” resolution of 2400 x 600 dpi with
built-in image smoothing and 256 levels of

for crisp image reproductions. Featuring a very competitive first copy out time
of 3.9 seconds and a new induction heating fuser roller that contributes to its
amazingly fast warm-up time.

model functions as an office workhorse. At 35 ppm, the e-STUDIO35 is suitable
for small or midsize workgroups, and can produce up to 120,000 copies a month
and the e-STUDIO45, suitable for midsize workgroups, is rated for 150,000 copies
a month.

offers two optional connectivity solutions for both e-STUDIO models. The GA-1040
embedded controller has parallel and network printing capabilities and supports
Novell, Windows NT and AppleTalk protocols, as well as standard PCL6 and
optional Adobe PostScript Level 3 page description languages and an optional 6
GB hard drive. Additional controller features include proofing capabilities and
private printing, stored printing and Web-based administration. The GA-1040 is
the first black and white Fiery and Toshiba co-developed print controller. The
system supports network printing for Windows, Unix, and Macintosh operating
systems under multiple network protocols including TCP/IP, IPX/SPX, and
AppleTalk. All advanced printing functions can easily be controlled from the
user’s desktop. The GL-1010 offers advanced printing functions such as
scheduled printing and printing to an image-overlay file.
