Address Printers Increase Deliverability

Neopost introduces the Neopost AS-990, the latest addition to its line of desktop address printing systems. Quickly and easily printing addresses, barcodes and graphics anywhere on envelopes, the Neopost AS-990 is designed to increase productivity while providing a high quality, professional image aimed at increasing direct mail response rates. As complimentary products to the company’s existing desktop address printers, the AS-990 is a rugged, reliable unit that can handle up to two million duty cycles per month. The AS-990 is an ideal choice for corporations, associations or quickprinters with mid to high volume direct mailing requirements.

The AS-990 offers outstanding print quality with a high 600 dpi resolution. Images are sharp, crisp and easily readable, conveying a more professional appearance to increase appeal and response of the receiver. In addition to addresses and barcodes, users can further increase direct mail efforts and customer communications by easily printing personalized messages directly onto the mail piece.
By leveraging CASS™ certified address management software, the AS-990 automatically confirm and correct addresses to eliminate undeliverable mail. With automatic address validation the AS-990 lends itself to postal automation discounting, reducing overall mailing operation costs.

Maintaining a high capacity output of up to 26,000 envelopes per hour, the AS-990 eliminates the expensive and time consuming process of printing and applying labels. Neopost’s AS-990 is equipped with nine fixed heads, allowing it to print on the widest print area - 27 lines – in a single pass. The units’ fixed print heads simultaneously print addresses, graphics and customized marketing messages to further save time and increase productivity. The large 3”- 4.5” print area assures users can print all necessary information. Additionally, the AS- 990 accommodates a range of materials, including envelopes, postcards, newspapers, brochures and catalogs. The address printers are suited for material sizes up to 20” in length and 15” in width, and document thicknesses up to 3/8”, making it an ideal system for printing on items such as calendars and booklets. A continuous, top-loading feed loads items while the printers are in use so production never stops.

When combined with address management software, all manual functions are eliminated for the user. Operators can easily select new jobs and run them. The software also provides intuitive print dashboard interface, offering instant feedback on various print jobs statuses.
