American PrintWare & FMAudit Announce Technology Partnership

San Juan Capistrano, CA, - American PrintWare, Inc. (APWI), a leading supplier of Printer Network management software, and FMAudit, LLC, an industry leader and provider of Managed Print Services solutions, officially announce an alliance as technology partners. The strategic arrangement delivers a logical and seamless progression between FMAudit's data collection tools, and APWI's newly announced RoutXpress, for Windows networks. FMAudit's award-winning Viewer USB 'Rapid Print Assessment' tool and WebAudit, the most-non-intrusive data collection utility (100% browser-based; no key to plug-in, no software to install), quickly and easily capture print asset information. Data includes multiple meters (like mono, color, print, copy, fax & scan) & toner coverage, and delivers invaluable reporting tools for corporate planning and implementation of a more cost effective and productive print strategy. They require little-to-no customer IT support, and are non-intrusive to customers' networks and/or infrastructure. Within FMAudit's solutions, a highly valuable report is 'Over- and Under-Utilized Assets'. It quickly recognizes individual problematic print devices and delivers an overall illustration of the current print environment upon which improvements can be made. A logical next step is to implement a management utility to better utilize the existing print assets. APWI's RoutXpress is such a tool.

RoutXpress allows the network administrator to establish and set the rules that they wish to govern and manage all the print jobs on their network. The rules can be modified, added to, or eliminated at any time. The rules will govern the intelligent routing service provided by RoutXpress. Automatic routing when a printer is busy printing a large job, out of paper, out of toner, or if there is a paper jam, just to name a few.

RoutXpress' network management tools also provide for Alert Messages, such as IM and E-Mails to be sent according to network conditions. For example; if RoutXpress sends a print job to a better printer an IM is sent to the user notifying them which printer their print job was sent to, if a printer runs out of paper or toner - an email is sent to the appropriate person, if the printer is down or offline - an email can be sent to the on-site service person's Blackberry alerting them to which printer is down. Remember, even though a printer may be down, and RoutXpress is alerting the appropriate person, it is also routing all print jobs intended for the down printer to a printer that is up and running.

"The combination of FMAudit's Viewer USB and/or WebAudit and APWI's RoutXpress will provide our resellers with a complete solution that will be easy to install and setup", stated Bob Meyer, VP of Sales and Marketing for APWI. "FMAudit's Rapid Print Assessment will provide the cost assessment information that will result in the customer wanting a network print management tool, and RoutXpress is that tool". "We see this relationship as another key step toward our goal of being the go-to supplier to all resellers that want to truly offer "Total Solutions" to their customers".
