Bay Copy CEO Named President of National Trade Association
ROCKLAND, MA - Ray Belanger, CEO of Rockland-based Bay Copy, has been voted President of the Select Dealer Group, a national trade organization whose membership draws from leading office product/service dealers across the country with a goal of benchmarking their industry and sharing best practices.
Belanger is one of the original members of the group which began with 10 founding members and grew to 32 in its first year. The group includes many of the most successful and innovative dealers in the United States.
“In our industry we have seen many changes, and have believed there is a need for a strong organization where leaders can meet, brainstorm and exchange ideas with the goal of providing even better service to our individual customers as a result of our effort,” said Belanger. “We will continue to expand our membership base, network and learn from each other.”
Belanger is well-known in his industry. He has served on a number of industry councils and trade organizations. He has authored articles in various national publications, including Office Technology and Recharger, and is a frequently quoted source on the topic of office equipment and connectivity. His Rockland, MA based company, the 36-year old Bay Copy, is viewed as a leader in the industry and has been visited many times by executives from Konica Minolta to illustrate equipment, technology and sales.
The Select Dealer Group is affiliated with BTA (Business Technology Association) of Kansas City. BTA is a trade organization that is supporting The Select Dealer Group with administrative functions. To date, the group has held meetings in Denver, Dallas, Chicago, Boston, Miami, San Francisco, Minnesota, Las Vegas, Savannah, Washington DC., Utah, and Cincinnati with a future meeting planned for Napa Valley.
