Bay Copy of Rockland Walks for Hospice
ROCKLAND AND BRAINTREE, MA (JULY 23, 2008) - Bay Copy of Rockland fielded a team of walkers to participate in the South Shore Hospice’s 17th annual “Walk For Hospice,” held this spring at the South Shore Plaza in Braintree.
Overall, the event raised more than $300,000 and had more than 2,500 walkers. Locally, Bay Copy’s team included ten team members. The team, complete with Bay Copy T-shirts, walked in memory of Laurene Embree, the wife of Bay Copy’s Paul Embree. Laurene lost her battle with cancer earlier this year.
Team members included Jean Carroll, Kathy Saunders, Sharon Mutrie and her mother, Pat, Paul Embree, Sue and Ray Belanger, Kim Murphy, Griffin Nickerson and his Mom, Carrie Boulay.
“Every family is touched by someone who needs hospice,” said Ray Belanger, CEO of Bay Copy. He added, “We walked of course because it is an important cause but also in support of a member of our Bay Copy family, Paul Embree, and in memory of his wife Laurene.”
