BEI Services Announces March Release of Territory Alignment Product

Cody WY (Feb. 2010)  On March 1st 2010, BEI Services Inc. will officially announce the release of their patent pending “Effective Workload Distribution” territory alignment software.  This revolutionary new software will change the way the imaging industry creates and maintains service territories for their technicians.

Capitalizing on BEI’s exclusive technologies, the software effectively distributes the workload in a geographical area using mathematical calculations from the machines historic service data to define the service “Demand Time”.   Once the monthly workload is created, you assign it to a technician and adjust the time according to the technician performance on the types of equipment in the territory.

“Throughout my career in this industry, there has always been a large demand for a simpler territory creation process.  So we created a great one utilizing our BEI performance data to create the territories” said Bud Karakey VP of Operations for BEI Services.  “While designing and developing this new software we recognized the flexibility requirements needed for such a product due to the different segments and models types, and then taking into consideration the qualifications of the servicing technicians.  We allow the dealers the capabilities to create very simple territories, or more complex layered territories visually, for either generalist or specialist technicians.  They can also very easily include or exclude certain segments or models types if needed when creating these territories.  We then monitor these territories every month to ensure their integrity, and if they get out of whack, we notify the dealer of the needed change. ”

This easy to use product allows dealers to create machine to technician assignments in minutes and then produces a report that can be imported into their ERP systems for the reassignments.  The software will also create recommended car stocks for the technicians based on the equipment assigned to the technicians.

“Plotting points on a map is really not anything new or difficult.  However calculating demand time of the equipment and taking into the consideration of the technicians performance, is a completely more complex matter.  We allow the users to see these Demand Time calculations dynamically while creating their territories.  Dealers will no longer have to spend days or weeks using the old methods of assignments using zip codes and copy counts; they will have mathematically calculated territories created in minutes based on demand time of the equipment and the performance of the assigned technician.  We are very excited to release this product in time for ITEX show in Las Vegas, allowing us to demonstrate it to the public.” said Wes McArtor President of BEI Services.
