Denville, NJ (December 16, 2008) - Brother International's MFC-8870DW has achieved the highest Overall Score in Wirth Consulting's Head2Head Comparison Report for B&W MFPs in the range of $500-$1,000.
Head2Head Reports provide competitive evaluations of MFPs and printers for home, small- and mid-size offices and businesses. They include Total Cost of Ownership (TCO), Cost Per Page (CPP) and an exclusive rating and scoring system.
The Brother MFC-8870DW outperformed competitive B2B MFPs in the B&W $500-$1,000 segment in several key categories, including Printing, Copying, and Usability.
Following are highlights from this latest Head2Head Report:
• The MFC-8870DW boasted the highest Overall Score of 42.5 (on a scale of 0 to 60, with 60 being the highest possible score). It was followed by Xerox's WorkCentre PE120i, which had the second highest Overal Score.
• The MFC-8870DW had the lowest B&W Cost Per Page (CPP) at 1.6 cents (including depreciated purchase price) and lowest B&W Total Cost of Ownership (TCO). Xerox's WorkCentre 411P had the second lowest B&W CPP at 1.7 cents (including depreciated purchase price), and second lowest B&W TCO.
