BTA East District to Host Grand Slam 2010 in NY in September
Kansas City, MO — Under the leadership of Business Technology Association's (BTA) dealer members, BTA East will host Grand Slam 2010 on Sept. 23-24, 2010, at the Ritz-Carlton, Westchester, in White Plains, N.Y. The event will feature five education sessions, including a panel discussion with leading dealers and manufacturers. Each session will provide industry-specific insight, strategies and practical advice that collectively will help attendees move their dealerships to a higher level, ultimately boosting the bottom line. The event will also feature the products and services of 20 exhibiting sponsors and an evening at Yankee Stadium.
The General Registration schedule begins the afternoon of Thursday, Sept. 23, with a panel discussion moderated by Frank Cannata, “Advice From the ‘All-Stars’: A Dealer & Manufacturer Panel.” This session will provide attendees the opportunity to hear from some of the Northeast’s leading dealers — Jerry Blaine, LDI Color ToolBox, New York, N.Y.; Andrew Ritschel, Electronic Office Systems, Fairfield, N.J.; and Larry Weiss, Atlantic Tomorrow’s Office, New York, N.Y. In addition, the panelists will include presidents of two of the industry’s manufacturing companies — Jim D’Emidio of Muratec America Inc. and Mike Pietrunti of Kyocera Mita America Inc.
Following the panel discussion, there will be a cocktail reception where attendees will have the opportunity to visit with the panelists, fellow dealers and representatives of the exhibiting sponsors. During the reception and at various times during the second day of the conference, there will be tabletop exhibits so attendees can learn more about the products and services of the sponsors.
The learning continues on Friday, Sept. 24, with four education sessions: “Twenty Traits of the Successful Dealership,” with Bob Goldberg, BTA general counsel; “You Have the MPS Contract — Now What?” with Tom Callinan, founding principal of Strategy Development; “Recruiting & Hiring the Right MPS Sales Team,” with Sally Brause, director of human resources consulting at GreatAmerica Leasing Corp.; and “Scanning as a Service: A New Revenue Option,” with Byron Aulick, president of DataVault Inc.
The event schedule concludes with a night at Yankee Stadium to see the Boston Red Sox take on the New York Yankees. Attendees will enjoy the evening in the Club Suite — the largest private suite in the stadium. This memorable evening is being made possible through the co-sponsorships of GreatAmerica Leasing Corp. and EDA (Equipment Data Associates).
Preceding the Grand Slam 2010 event, BTA and Strategy Development will offer two front runners — the BTA MPS Operations & Service Workshop and the BTA MPS Sales Workshop. Attendees of these educational workshops receive free Level One (including a Yankees game ticket) General Registration to Grand Slam 2010.
The exhibiting sponsors are: Azerty, Color Imaging, Compass Sales Solutions, Densigraphix, DocuWare, Digitek, Diversified Computer Supplies, ECi, EDA, Epson, ESP, Falcon Technology Solutions, FMAudit, GreatAmerica Leasing, Image Star, Lexmark, Muratec, Polek & Polek, Supplies Network and West Point Products.
