BTA Signs Marketing Agreement for MPS eLearning Program
Kansas City, MO (May 2010) — The Business Technology Association announced
today that it has signed a marketing agreement to offer its members access to
the industry’s most comprehensive managed print services (MPS) eLearning
program. Developed by InfoTrends, a worldwide consulting firm for the digital
imaging and document solutions industry, and Strategy Development, an MPS
consulting and training firm, the eLearning program is designed to educate
dealers on how to effectively engage and sell MPS.
Under the agreement, BTA members will be able to purchase the Managed Print Services eLearning Sales Training Program at a discounted rate. The Web-based program offers a self-paced curriculum with guided audio and engaging interactive exercises that are available 24 hours a day — at an affordable price.
“We’re excited to partner with InfoTrends and Strategy Development to offer the BTA community access to this innovative program,” said BTA President Bill James. “The program provides a dealership’s sales staff members with the knowledge they need to effectively sell MPS and capitalize on this market opportunity.”
The MPS eLearning program leverages InfoTrends’ deep industry knowledge on the MPS space as well as Strategy Development’s real-world experience helping dealers, resellers and manufacturers launch successful MPS programs. The program consists of eight courses:

- The First Appointment
- Performing an Assessment
- Contractual Selling (Optional)
- Pricing an MPS Transaction
- A Successful Strategy Session
- Designing Winning Proposals
- Expanding Your MPS Relationship
An assessment quiz is provided at the end of each course to test the student’s comprehension. Students who take and pass the entire program will receive a certificate of completion, certifying them as a trained sales representative.
Standard pricing is $599 for the first course and $349 for each additional course in the MPS eLearning program, but BTA members will receive a 15% discount when they sign up through the BTA member Web site.
