BTA Southeast to Host Winter Break 2011 in Orlando, FL, Feb. 17-18
Kansas City, MO (January, 2011) - On Feb. 17-18, at the Rozen Plaza Hotel in Orlando, Fla., the Southeast district of the Business Technology Association (BTA; www.bta.org) will host Winter Break 2011, an education and networking event for dealers. The event will feature five education sessions, a round-table discussion, networking opportunities and an evening at Universal Studios Florida. The event will also feature the products and services of 19 exhibiting sponsors.
Winter Break 2011 will kick off at 9 a.m. on Thursday, Feb. 17, with four education sessions and a round-table discussion. In between sessions, there will be breaks for lunch and time to visit with exhibiting sponsors. A cocktail reception will be held from 5:15 p.m. until 7:15 p.m., allowing attendees to network with fellow dealers and exhibiting sponsors.
The education lineup for Thursday, Feb. 17, includes: “Service Benchmarks,” presented by Guy Worzel of BEI Services Inc. (www.beiservices.com); “Prospecting Effectively to Your Ideal Customers,” presented by Kate Kingston of Kingston Training Group (www.kingstontraining.com); “The Business Model for Managed Network Services,” presented by Mitch Morgan of Growth Achievement Partners (www.growthachievementpartners.com); and “Building High-Performance Teams,” presented by Jeff Westerberg, Westerberg & Associates Consulting Inc. (www.westerberginc.com). The Thursday schedule also includes a round-table discussion: “Digital Copier/MFP Security,” facilitated by Bill James, WJS Enterprises, Metairie, La. (www.wjsenterprises.com).
On Friday, Feb. 18, Jim Kahrs of Prosperity Plus Management Consulting Inc. (www.prosperityplus.com) will present an extended education session, “Leadership Essentials,” from 8:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. “Leadership is one of the most misunderstood topics in management,” said Kahrs. “When managers are asked to define leadership or what makes a good leader, many principals struggle to even put it into words. Yet, without strong leadership, a business doesn't achieve the level of success it could or should. The good news is there are very specific components to good leadership.” During breaks in this session, there will be time to visit with exhibiting sponsors. After the session, attendees will depart for an afternoon and evening at Universal Studios Florida.
Exhibiting sponsors include: Color Imaging, Crawford Thomas, Densigraphix, Digital Gateway, Diversified Computer Supplies (DCS), DocuWare, Equipment Data Associates (EDA), emFAST, Epson, Electronic Systems Protection (ESP), FMAudit, GreatAmerica Leasing Corp., Hytec Dealer Services, Image Star, InkCycle, Kyocera, Muratec, Square 9 Softworks and SalesChain.
