Business Applications Get the Big Picture with NVIDIA Quadro NVS 450 Graphics Card

Santa Clara, CA (November 10, 2008)- From Wall Street to Main Street, the need for ultra high-resolution professional graphics performance is on the rise. NVIDIA Corp. today introduced the ideal solution: the NVIDIA Quadro NVS 450 graphics card. Featuring CUDA parallel computing processors with a unified architecture designed to dynamically allocate GPU resources, the Quadro NVS 450 business graphics solution delivers a reliable hardware and software environment optimized for advanced performance. Capable of supporting up to four digital displays at resolutions of up to 2560 x 1600 each on LCD, DLP and plasma displays through the new DisplayPort connectors, the Quadro NVS 450 moves business graphics to a new level of visual perfection.

Featuring NVIDIA's nView advanced display software, the Quadro NVS 450 business graphics solution delivers maximum flexibility for single-large display or multi-display options. With productivity enhancing features such as extended Windows Taskbar that spans across multiple displays, gridlines that divide a single large or a multiple display set up into smaller sub-displays, virtual desktops that seamlessly reduce desktop clutter and profiles that assist with enterprise deployments - users are provided with unprecedented control of the desktop experience.

With robust IT management tools, a dedicated NVIDIA Quadro NVS Enterprise support team and compatibility with most hardware and software specifications, the Quadro NVS 450 business graphics solution delivers a stable environment designed for peak functionality and a seamless enterprise deployment. Essential for Microsoft Windows Vista running 32- or 64-bit architectures, the Quadro NVS 450 is tested with leading business applications such as Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat, DealMaker, Citrix Hummingbird Exceed, Hauppage and many others.

The EnergyStar enabling Quadro NVS 450 has low maximum and idle power levels and is built with a fanless design for a quieter desktop environment. PCI Express 2.0 compliance provides a bi-directional transfer rate of up to 5 GT/sec per lane for an aggregate bandwidth of 16 GB/sec (8 GB/sec in each direction). The addition of the NVIDIA Unified Driver Architecture (UDA) simplifies the upgrade process by ensuring forward and backward compatibility with NVIDIA software drivers. Internal transmitters provide crystal-clear image quality at high resolutions, including the latest digital flat panel displays.
