Convergent EDM announces Acquisition of MyDocuments

Convergent EDM, Inc., announced the acquisition of all intellectual property, commercial and trade rights to the Millennium document management system from MyDocuments, Inc. Effective immediately, Convergent EDM will be continuing development, pursuing sales and re-establishing support for the Millennium product suite.

The Millennium 10 platform, the most recent product release, allows companies to manage, distribute, and exchange large volumes of content within and beyond the enterprise to both employees and customers. This feature rich product incorporates the feel of Microsoft Outlook® and also offers a separate web browser client that can allow users access to their files from any remote location via the Internet. Millennium delivers 128-bit encryption for securing company files via LAN, WAN, Intranet and Internet. Other features include compression, intelligent thumbnail viewing, a document routing wizard, a rescan feature, advanced server based OCR features, version control, check in & check out, and a web application server. A product demo is available on the company’s website.

Privately held Convergent EDM’s acquisition of Millennium completes a comprehensive product and services portfolio, which offers a unique, feature-rich and user friendly presence in the document imaging market. The firm’s strategic mission is to focus on continual design improvement, user-friendly product/upgrade delivery, ongoing feature enhancement, and long-term client relationships. Members of the CEDM’s management team are highly experienced advisors and integrators of document imaging technology. CEDM’s new offices are located in Bohemia, NY in the heart of "Silicon Island", the technology hub of Long Island.
