CopierCatalog.com Provides Continually Updated Product Catalogs for Dealer Websites
Dealer Marketing Systems announced the launch of CopierCatalog.com, a service that provides continually-updated product catalogs to office equipment resellers.
"One of the biggest hassles our clients have had is maintaining product catalogs," said Darrell Amy, President of Dealer Marketing Systems. "We wanted to find a better way and I believe we have hit the bulls eye with this offering."
Having updated products on a dealer's site is critical. While only a few buyers ever visit a dealer's showroom, virtually all buyers visit a dealer's website during the buying process. It is critical that dealers have current product information available on their site. Dealers have traditionally had limited options when it comes to web product catalogs. The "do-it-yourself" approach typically ends up with outdated product on the site. This reflects poorly on the dealership.
Another option is to link to the OEM's sites. However, with today's rising number of manufacturer direct locations and national mega dealers (not to mention other local independent competitors) linking to the OEM's site may introduce unnecessary competition to the sales mix.
The third option is to contract with a company to maintain the product catalogs. Until now, the options have been limited. Also, dealers often lacked control over which products appeared on their sites and how the products were configured. And, many times dealers had to subscribe to service packages they didn't need to get the product catalogs.
Search engine optimization is becoming increasingly important as clients turn to search engines like Google instead of the Yellow Pages. With this in mind, CopierCatalog.com was designed to optimize a dealer's site for search engines. Unlike typical catalogs that host the product information on a third party server, CopierCatalog.com leverages new technology to actually push the product information to the dealer's site.
"The net result is that the dealers actually can have all of the product information on their server," comments Corey Smith, Chief Web Architect. "Having this content on the site gives search engines more to index, provides greater user interaction and develops greater dealership credibility."
The company has exciting future plans for the service. "We see this as a platform that we can use to provide additional value-added solutions to dealers," says Amy. Stay informed about new developments by signing up for updates at www.CopierCatalog.com.
