Dell Plans to Open Printer Distribution Center

Dell Inc. plans to open a distribution center in West Chester, Ohio to support its national printer and accessories business. The center is scheduled to open in November and will employ about 250 people within its first year of operation. It will be managed and operated by Dell and Oakland, Calif.-based APL Logistics Ltd. According to Dell, the center will provide support for the company's printer ink business, as well as provide distribution and warranty fulfillment on certain electronics and accessories orders. According to Dell, the company requires the printer support that the new center will provide because the demand in the United States for its printers has increased dramatically.
