Depot America Sets Industry Record In Warranty Rates

Depot-America, Inc. has recently announced that it has achieved the lowest warranty rate in industry history -- a combined rate below three. This translates into the astounding fact that, out of the 252,000 plus parts sold last year, only 2.7% came back under warranty.

“These figures are a testament to the success of an internal quality initiative started at Depot-America over a year and a half ago,” said John Tiano, Executive Vice President of Operations. The program had at its core the strict policing of Depot-America by Depot America. Internal rejects at the QC final inspection level were carefully tracked. Then each reject was categorized, documented, and trended. This information was then used to identify where feedback and training could be enhanced to help Depot America employees perform their duties with greater efficiency. “Attention to detail is what differentiates Depot-America's products from those of its competitors. It is what makes us the quality leader in the industry,” explained Tiano. “All of our associates put forth a total team effort each and every day to maintain our high level of service and quality.”

This 2.7 percent warranty rate is in keeping with other impressive ratings Depot-America has consistently maintained. In 2000, the company's tremendous parts availability enabled it to achieve a 99.98% fill rate and a 99% accuracy rate. Depot-America · 800-648-6833
