DocuLex Announces the Enhanced Image Processing Studio
DocuLex announces the Image Processing Studio (IPStudio) 1.01, enabling the utilization of networked PC power for production image printing, OCR, image endorsing and PDF conversion. One or many networked computers can now focus their processing power on the same project or many projects running simultaneously.
The DocuLex Production Manager is a browser-based, data and image collection repository for IP Studio workstations. Production Manager records and manages production tasks, from all workstations, up to project completion. Data may be accessed with a third party report writer or utilize pre built internal report templates. Whether local or via internet connection, access to the Production Manager is available for up to the minute production statistics. Production Manager offers a master SQL database back end along with workflow techniques that keep your projects well managed and productive.
Optional components of DocuLex’s IPStudio include these capabilities:
Meeting the Demands of Production OCR Processing
Unlike standard Optical Character Recognition (OCR) packages, IPStudio is designed to accommodate the demand for high-speed, reliable production conversion of TIFF images to text. IPStudio also accommodates existing TIFF images.
Production High-Speed Image Printing
IPStudio supports high-speed printing devices for rapid blow-back of graphic images. Printed images may contain production numbers and can be identified according to document unitization. The program enables printing capabilities exceeding the limitations of a digital copier's standard print function.
Production Image Endorsing
IPStudio provides the true method of electronic Bates numbering. Electronic production numbers are "burned" onto black & white TIFF or color JPG images.
Production Conversion of TIFF Images to Searchable PDF Files
DocuLex’s IPStudio offers a productive solution for converting millions of scanned documents into fully searchable electronic files that can be easily managed and distributed in Web-based information management systems. These Portable Document File (PDF) files maintain the image integrity of Group IV TIFF images. PDF files can be indexed and searched with Adobe Acrobat, DocuLex Search programs and other leading Intranet search tools.
New features of DocuLex’s IPStudio 1.01 include:
Exports to ASCII, Summation and Concordance (additional exports in future versions)
Importation of index data capability
Customized page caption addition option
Preserved zoom-in fixed position for document navigation
Extract, assign and concatenate fields and subfields
Creation and renumbering of batches and subset batched
Enhanced full-text and zonal OCR accuracy.
