Equitrac and Ricoh Europe Expand OEM and Distribution Agreement
Equitrac Corporation today announced an expanded agreement with Ricoh Europe B.V., for the sale and distribution of Equitrac OEM and branded products. Equitrac is the leading provider of automated document accounting solutions for the professional, enterprise and education markets. Ricoh Europe B.V, the European headquarters of Ricoh Company Ltd. of Japan, is responsible for marketing, sales and service of Ricoh products in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
Under the agreement, Ricoh Europe will distribute Equitrac Office 3.0, a third generation document accounting solution, designed to monitor, measure and manage network wide document output. A comprehensive solution that lets companies take command of one of the largest unmeasured and uncontrolled costs of doing business, Equitrac Office 3.0 integrates seamlessly in an organization’s existing print server architecture, giving it the ability to measure the true expense of document output across its total enterprise environment and manage document activities with unprecedented control.
The agreement also strengthens Equitrac’s and Ricoh’s mutual commitment to delivery of OEM solutions for the European marketplace. Along with Equitrac Office 3.0, Ricoh Europe is launching Equitrac’s embedded Print & Copy Control (PCC) module for the Ricoh Aficio™ series of MFP devices. This OEM module provides the ability to control device user access and track copy and print information directly from the Aficio operating panel. Equitrac is also providing the Ricoh unique Aficio Counter Manager (ACM) module for remote counter management of Ricoh Aficio devices.
“This agreement renews and strengthens our existing relationship with one of the leading organizations in the global office equipment market,” said Michael Rich, CEO, Equitrac. “Our close relationship with Ricoh enables us to deliver products and solutions that integrate seamlessly into the end user’s environment and that receive the best possible support.”
“We are excited about expanding our relationship with Equitrac as we address the growing need for organizations to manage their document output on office equipment and control spiraling document related costs,” said Shigehisa Mori, Senior General Manager, Ricoh Europe. “This new agreement will enable us to tightly integrate Equitrac's technology into our products to increase their appeal to our users and to offer a complete line of state-of-the-art solutions for document output management and cost control.”
