Equitrac Launches Major Initiative to Expand Support for Office Equipment Channel Resellers
PLANTATION, FL, (June 10, 2008) – Equitrac Corporation, the leader in intelligent cost recovery and print management solutions worldwide, today expanded its commitment to the office equipment channel with the appointment of Noel O’Dwyer as Vice President of Marketing and Strategic Alliances and the formation of a worldwide Global Alliance Marketing team in support of the office equipment dealer (OED) channel.
Mr. O’Dwyer, who will oversee all Equitrac marketing activities reporting directly to CEO Michael Rich, will oversee the new Global Alliance Marketing Team, which represents a significant investment in marketing resources and personnel to provide new programs and materials in support of the OED channel.
“Equitrac is known for its cost recovery document solutions, but today our product line offers complete print management solutions, making us a natural fit for the office equipment reseller,” said Mr. Rich. “As we continue to see our business grow in the OED channel we are committed to providing the support our resellers need to be successful in selling our products.”
Equitrac’s new Global Alliance Marketing team will provide focused support to channel resellers including Canon, HP, IKON, Konica Minolta, Kyocera Mita, Sharp, Ricoh and Xerox. Additional support will be provided for several facility management companies and value added resellers. As part of the OED channel support program, Equitrac Global Alliance Managers will assume responsibility for ensuring the successful creation and execution of marketing programs, as well as acting as the dedicated business liaison for each Equitrac partner.
Mr. O’Dwyer is an office equipment industry veteran with extensive experience in the creation of sales channel programs and the development of reseller relationships. Prior to joining the company, Mr. O’Dwyer worked for MetaCarta, a provider of geographic intelligence solutions, where he was Senior Director of Channels and Alliances. Before joining MetaCarta, he served as Director of Strategic Alliances for eCopy where he was instrumental in developing the Channel and Alliance programs. Under his leadership, eCopy created and delivered dozens of successful product integration partnerships to the office equipment dealer channel.
“Equitrac is broadening their strategy to address office solutions beyond just Document Accounting,” stated Michael Orasin, Research Manager for Document Solutions & Services at IDC. “A deeper focus on authorization and authentication plus a new initiative for image capture, will enable channel resellers to have increasingly more relevant conversations with their customers. This build out in the Equitrac organization signals a strong commitment by the company to make this goal a reality.”
