FMAudit Introduces Total-Cost-Of-Ownership Reporting

JEFFERSON CITY, MO – FMAudit has announced the official public release of  Total-Cost-of-Ownership (TCO) reporting capabilities.Expanding on the current product platform, the TCO reporting capabilities focus on costing attributes users require to effectively calculate Cost-Per-Page (CPP) and TCO, while deemphasizing features that are rarely used and make the process less appealing to the every-day user. Consistent with FMAudit’s unique, patent-pending and highly desirable architectural methodology, the reports leverage FMAudit's centralized Side-by-Side (SBS) database. Today, SBS houses 130+ fields of consumable and manufacturer related information for 10,000+ models and is updated on a daily basis. FMAudit's Identity Mapping Technology (IMT) is the enabling platform upon which the SBS values are automatically and accurately mapped to TCO analysis periods, eliminating hours of redundant manual research and costly transcribing errors.

In particular and unprecedented in the industry is the elimination of toner coverage guesswork. FMAudit pioneered the process of collecting practical toner usage data directly from the cartridge e-chip. Applying this true value during TCO calculations, improves the accuracy of toner consumption. And, depending on the architecture of the engine, several other consumable related parts information is empirically leveraged, including but not limited to, fuser belts, transfer kits and imaging kits. Surprising results indicate the industry average of 5% coverage has been in most cases inaccurate, and has been a failure factor resulting in unprofitable fleet management programs.

Built on the .NET Framework, the TCO reports are hosted within FMAudit Central. They utilize data collected from any and all of FMAudit’s award-winning applications: Viewer USB, Onsite and/or WebAudit. This highly coveted value-add module is no-charge for current and future users enrolled in FMAudit's Enterprise Program (formally known as Corporate Program). The Enterprise Program is an ASP-optional, per asset-based business model, which includes unlimited licenses of Onsite and WebAudit. Regardless of quantity of devices, it is only $0.50 per managed asset per month, and free for non-managed (competitive) assets per month. The user’s financial exposure is non-existent, simply because if the user does not bill the end-customer, they are not billed for use of the software.

“The TCO Analysis is the latest feature spawned from within our healthy technology road map. It has been strategically brought-to-market through the critical-mass migration of user competency and overall market readiness.” stated Richard Piper, president and CEO with FMAudit. “It again validates our dedication to enable our users to maximize their existing investments and analyze and manage their client’s document output fleets, resulting in cost-effective improvement plans. The market will continue to look to FMAudit for the most advanced high-impact features. For example, identification of the cartridge as an original OEM or remanufactured unit, and the association with the exact output device currently using that specific cartridge.”
