NASHUA, N.H., Aug. 13 /PRNewswire/ -- eCopy, Inc. has been named to the prestigious New England Technology Fast 50 Program, an annual ranking of the 50 fastest-growing technology companies in the area, presented by Deloitte & Touche and Hale and Dorr, LLP and sponsored in association with Mazonson, Nasdaq, Trinity Communications and Mass High Tech, The Journal of New England Technology. Rankings are based on the percentage of growth in revenues from 1996-2000 (five-year period).

``eCopy's mission is to help businesses move paper-based documents at Internet speeds,'' said Edward Schmid, president and CEO, eCopy, Inc. ``It gives us great pleasure to see our commitment to streamline business communications, deliver cost savings, and increase productivity, garner industry accolades as prestigious as the Deloitte & Touche, New England Technology Fast 50.''

Edward Schmid, along with the other winning CEOs and their guests will be honored for their accomplishment and learn where they ranked on the Fast 50 list at a unique awards event on September 11 at F1 Boston indoor kart racing facility and conference center in Braintree.

``Particularly in today's uncertain economy, achieving the level of revenue growth it takes to make the Fast 50 list is a real testament to eCopy, Inc.'s people, products and business strategy,'' said Steve DiPietro, co-chair of the Fast 50 program and partner in the Technology and Communications practice at Deloitte & Touche. He added, ``We at Deloitte & Touche commend them on this impressive accomplishment.''

Now in it's fifth year, the New England Technology Fast 50 program has honored hundreds of local fast-growing technology companies who have made a significant impact on New England's innovation economy.

To qualify for the Fast 50, companies must have had operating revenues of at least $50,000 in 1996 and $1,000,000 in 2000, must be public or private companies headquartered in Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Maine, Rhode Island or Vermont; and be ``technology companies'' defined as companies that produce technology, manufacture a technology product, or devotes a high percentage of effort to research and development of technology.

Winners of the 22 regional Fast 50 programs in the United States and Canada are automatically entered in the Deloitte & Touche Technology Fast 500 program, which ranks North America's top 500 fastest growing technology companies.
