GENICOM Announces 3 New Business Priners
GENICOM announces three new midrange, business class dot matrix printers.
The new 3850 model is a 500 cps 24-pin dot matrix, 132-column, printer. It is targeted for transaction document printing applications.
The new LA500 and LA 700Plus models are 132-column, 24-pin dot matrix printers rated at 500 and 700cps respectively. These two models are targeted for Digital/Compaq users and include an MMJ serial adapter. The printers are designed with complete interoperability for Digital Unix, Open VMS, Windows, and Windows NT environments.
The three printers come standard with parallel and serial interfaces, universal power supply, single tractor and 12-month return to depot warranty. Available options include second tractor, top pull tractor, and user installable I/O cards for Ethernet, Coax/Twinax SCS and Coax/Twinax IPDS.
``The introduction of these three models continues the GENICOM commitment for impact printer users in both the general printer and Digital/Compaq markets, and for use in applications such as invoicing, bar coding, and label printing,'' said Chuck Ward, GENICOM Product Marketing Manager.
The list price for the new printers range form $1,549 to $2,215 with deliveries starting in early November, 2001.
