GreatAmerica Bolsters Succession Plan
(Cedar Rapids, IA) – GreatAmerica Leasing Corporation took a significant step in its succession planning today by announcing promotions and appointments of key personnel, all of whom are experienced veterans in the financing industry and long-standing GreatAmerica employees. The GreatAmerica succession plan galvanizes its role as an industry innovator and reinforces its reputation as one of the strongest independent small ticket leasing companies in the U.S.
The leadership structure has expanded to include the Office of the President, which promotes Stan Herkelman to President, David Pohlman to Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, and Joe Terfler to Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. Current Executive Vice President Doug Olson has been appointed Vice-Chairman of the Board and Chief Risk Officer.
GreatAmerica Chairman and CEO Tony Golobic said these changes in senior leadership are part of a long range succession plan to ensure continued excellence in organizational performance. “We set out 16 years ago to build a company that would last,” Golobic said. “One foundation stone we laid was building generations of leadership capable of taking GreatAmerica forward to an even more successful future. Our focus will always be to provide the best service in the industry to our customers.”
There were additional leadership promotions in GreatAmerica business units. Jennie Fisher has been promoted to Senior Vice President and General Manager of the Office Equipment Group. Greg VanDeWalker has been promoted to Senior Vice President of Strategic Relationships. Marty Klees has been promoted to Senior Vice President and General Manager of the Communications and Data Group. Lane Wolbe has been promoted to Senior Vice President and General Manager of the Distribution Programs Group.
