HP Names Omtool Platinum Partner for MFPs
Andover, MA – Omtool, Ltd. has achieved Platinum Partner status in the HP Business Solution Partner program. This distinction opens new sales opportunities for Omtool by enabling Omtool's products to be distributed and supported by HP directly to its enterprise customer base.
Omtool delivers comprehensive, enterprise-class distributed document capture and handling solutions to companies who have paper intensive business processes, such as those found in the financial services, healthcare, professional services, and legal vertical markets. These businesses have wide-reaching requirements for secure document capture and routing to address compliance and regulatory requirements, document management and record retention policies, and disaster recovery as well as vertical-specific requirements such as secure healthcare communications, e-discovery, and litigation support.
“Omtool’s technical and enterprise software expertise and our ability to produce vertical solutions on a technology platform that spans the market horizontally have enabled us to achieve Platinum Partner status in the HP program,” said Bob Voelk, Omtool’s chairman, president, and chief executive officer.
As previously announced, HP and Omtool have signed agreements that enable HP
to sell and support Omtool products. Omtool will build on those agreements and
with this new Platinum Partner designation will:
· Deliver unique functionality with HP products and enhance solution capabilities by working with other HP partners to solve critical business needs for customers
· Offer HP-tested solutions and provide integration with each of the HP hardware platforms
· Support the full line of HP networked multifunction printers with its AccuRoute product line
“HP is focused on delivering customers a core set of enterprise-level solutions and services to help address their most critical business needs,” said John Johasky, vice president, Global Enterprise Business, Imaging and Printing Group, HP. “We have recognized Omtool as a Platinum Partner because they have continuously demonstrated outstanding commitment to solving customer business needs in the areas of document capture, conversion and distribution.”
IDC believes that secure document capture and routing is integral to business process workflows. “The opportunity for scanning hardware, software, and services is clear based on the current and growing percent of companies that say their scanning volumes are high,” said Angèle Boyd, group vice president for Imaging / Output Services at IDC. “But this goes beyond scan-to-email and scan-to-fax and includes business process workflow integration. It is exciting to see HP and Omtool working together to provide document workflow integration solutions to the increasing volume of document capture customers around the world.”
