HYTEC Dealer Services, Inc. Announces HYTEC DRIVE SECURE™

Orlando, FL (June 2010) - Hytec Dealer Services, Inc. (Hytec), trusted by leading manufacturers and imaging dealerships since 1981 for circuit board repair and related solutions, announces Hytec Drive Secure™.  This program provides turn-key solutions for certified hard disk drive sanitization, and complete destruction, while minimizing potential dealership liability.

Nearly all digital copiers contain at least one hard drive, which may retain highly sensitive client data including health, financial, legal, government, corporate, law enforcement, or many other types of confidential information.  A client’s data is most susceptible when the copier, or hard drive, is out of the client’s direct control.  Data is at risk anytime a hard drive is replaced, and especially at lease maturity, when used equipment is typically processed through wholesalers and equipment brokers. Even one security breach can destroy a reputation that a company has taken years to develop.

Hytec Drive Secure™ solutions are designed to work seamlessly with an imaging dealership’s current processes, but also allow for end-user clients to work directly with Hytec.  This completely removes the dealership from the data destruction process, and greatly reduces potential liability.  Hytec Drive Secure™ service options include the Complete Drive Solution, Drive Sanitization & Return, and Complete Drive Destruction.  Hytec is also a member of the National Association of Information Destruction (NAID), whose mission is to educate business, industry, and government of the importance of destroying discarded information and the value of contract destruction services.

Hytec Drive Secure™ Complete Drive Solution includes replacement hard drives shipped in a hard-shell case for secure chain-of custody.  The shipment includes complete return instructions, a pre-paid return label, a client release authorization, and pad lock for secure return.  Upon receipt at Hytec’s bonded and insured facility, the drives will be sanitized to DoD 5220.22-M directive, or completely destroyed by an industrial-grade shredding process.  The client will receive a certificate of sanitization or destruction.

Hytec Drive Secure™ Drive Sanitization & Return option includes data erasure to meet, or exceed, DoD 5220.22-M directive.  Sanitized drives will be returned for reuse, and a certificate of sanitization will be issued.  A hard-shell case is available for secure chain of custody.

Hytec Drive Secure™ Complete Drive Destruction option includes completely destroying hard drives by an industrial-grade shredding process, randomizing discharge material, and rendering all data completely unreadable.  All debris is recycled in accordance with governmental regulations. A hard-shell case is available for secure chain of custody.

Hytec Drive Secure™ solutions are cost effective options that reduce dealership liability, provide a value-added client service, and can also provide increased revenue streams for imaging dealerships.
