IBM Expands Infoprint 1000 Family
IBM announced the Infoprint* 1116, a 16 page- per-minute (ppm), entry-level laser printer for individuals and small workgroups, priced at $426(1). IBM now offers six printers in the Infoprint 1000 family, with speeds from 16 ppm to 45 ppm.
The Infoprint 1000 family is designed to help customers effectively manage the output of e-business and includes printers, software and services. Launched in June 2001, the Infoprint 1000 family features internet-ready printing, as well as paper handling capabilities and finishing options, at an affordable price.
The Infoprint 1116 features a choice of print resolution, up to 1200 x 1200 dpi output. It offers users and network administrators a wealth of features for effective workgroup printing, including MarkVision** Professional print management software for easy printer installation, configuration and management from the desktop, server or the Web.
Availability and Pricing
The Infoprint 1116 offers up to four featured configurations. These configurations include a base model and network model for both low and high voltage printers. The complete Infoprint 1000 family can be purchased on ibm.com, through IBM Printing Systems' remarketers and IBM sales representatives.
The Infoprint 1116 is scheduled to be generally available in the North America beginning November 30, 2001 and Europe, Middle East and Africa beginning December 28, 2001. The IBM list base price is $426.00(1).
