IKON Consolidates U.S. Regions
IKON Office Solutions, the world's largest independent channel for document management systems and services, has consolidated the company's four U.S. regions into three U.S. regions as part of its ongoing strategy to centralize and streamline its operational structure.
Three U.S. regions will support local IKON marketplaces in implementing programs and initiatives to drive growth, enhance customer satisfaction and increase efficiency. The consolidated regional structure is designed to leverage the strength of IKON's sales and service professionals in local marketplaces, as well as the company's centralized customer care centers. The financial impact of this consolidation will be minimal.
IKON's U.S. regions will be led by three experienced IKON executives: Tom Callinan, vice president & general manager, Eastern Region; Brian Edwards, vice president & general manager, Western Region; and Dan Merkle, vice president & general manager, Central Region. IKON's global structure also includes its European operations led by David Mills, IKON's corporate vice president and president, Europe, and its Canadian and Mexican operations led by Sean Smith, IKON's president, Canada. All report directly to IKON's Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Matthew J. Espe.
"Our business is built upon the strength and skill of those who interact with our customers on a daily basis - our sales and service professionals in our local marketplaces and our customer care representatives in our customer care centers," said Espe. "The strength of our local marketplaces and the support of our centralized resources has allowed us to achieve another level of operational efficiency by consolidating our region structure while maintaining the same levels of service and support our customers have come to expect from IKON."
