Imaging Portals Partners with Questra Corp.

August 7, 2001, (Las Vegas)- Imaging Portals Inc. (IPI), an industry-leading provider of integrated document imaging management services, has announced a strategic alliance with Questra Corporation, a supplier of universal Internet connectivity between remote devices and servicing vendors. The connectivity provided by Questra facilitates Imaging Portal’s Device-to-Business™ (d2b) platform for delivering increased efficiency throughout the document imaging supply chain. IPI’s device-enhancing applications and productivity-enhancing Professional Services allow dealers to immediately take advantage of the next-generation of document imaging technology, Internet-enabled, intelligent document imaging devices. These customer-focused solutions make it possible for the dealer to deliver the newest print management technology solutions to their customers, regardless of a company’s size or current computing platform.

Mike Stramaglio, Imaging Portals CEO, stated, “Questra’s Appliance to Business (A2B) platform has been selected to power IPI’s innovative new remote monitoring capabilities for document imaging equipment.” “This fully integrated solution allows dealers and customers alike to benefit from the improved efficiency and cost savings associated with secure, automated device administration,” he continued.

Imaging Portals’ brings together the Internet, intelligent imaging devices and Questra’s universal connectivity to make the next generation of digital imaging technology a reality. IPI’s proprietary ImageTrak™ and ImageView™ applications transform how equipment in the field is managed and serviced, through easy-to-use software and an intuitive user interface. ImageTrak enables automatic transmission of data between the customer’s print devices and the dealer. This data includes meter readings, diagnostic reporting and usage reports, all of which can be readily incorporated into a dealer’s customer management system for automatic billing, service dispatch and supplies ordering. ImageView is the user interface for the customer, allowing account self-service and access to usage and service reporting. Imaging Portals’ Professional Services applies its expertise to assisting the dealer with integrating a customer’s legacy systems with new imaging technologies and identifying opportunities for new equipment placements. Their knowledge base and turnkey applications solve real customer problems. By improving data management and document workflow, significant productivity gains and cost savings are achieved for a dealer’s customers. The servicing vendor is able to reduce customer downtime, thus increasing customer satisfaction while making incremental hardware sales and higher revenues per machine in the field (MIF).

“Our customers have been telling us for some time they need new ways to automate time and labor intensive service and support processes such as monthly meter readings and field service dispatch. But they simply do not have access to the technology or resources to implement a viable solution,” said Mike Stramaglio. “We’re excited to be able to introduce this innovative and cost effective new product with Questra. Dealers and customers will benefit immediately from the ability to harness the power of the Internet to link machines in the field to the servicing vendor,” he explained.
