Impro Group Opens Brazil Office, Launches New Website
Impro Group has opened sales & distribution center in Sao Paulo, Brazil. The new company, Impro Latina America Importacao e Exportacao LTDA, is led by Paula Dias and Marcelo Soares, both Brazilian citizens with experience in the industry.
“We are constantly looking for ways to be able to pay our vendors the best possible prices for their surplus supplies. Having a direct presence in the Latin American market, where many of the older analog machines are still very popular, will enhance our ability to pay top dollar for the older products that are just not sellable in the USA any longer.” said Wayan Garvey, Impro Group CEO.
The Sao Paulo location, in addition to stocking products locally, offers customers access to Impro Group’s worldwide inventory through its website, www.ImproLatina.com.
In addition, Impro Group has launched its latest website, www.ImproExport.com and implemented an aggressive marketing plan to increase its presence in developing countries. The new website features a simple yet powerful search interface to allow export buyers from all over the world to buy obsolete supplies.
Over the last two years, Impro’s export sales volume has climbed from almost nothing to now represent approximately 25 percent of its revenue. The trend to upgrade analog to digital, and from early digital to current color-capable models, has created a need for dealers to clear their older inventory. Wayan Garvey, Impro Group CEO, remarked that “With the Internet today, the world has become a much smaller place. This website has allowed us to reach countries such as Pakistan, Guyana, and even the Ukraine!”
Kristof Van De Velde, Impro Europe’s sales chief, noted that “It was really a surprise to receive a quotation request from someone in Serbia for products that we had just one week earlier been considering putting in the trash.”
