Industry Stars to Shine at Santa Barbara Toners & Photoreceptors Seminar
The Tiara Group, LLC proudly announced its 25th Anniversary Toners & Photoreceptors Seminar, slated for Fess Parker’s DoubleTree Resort (a Hilton Hotel) in Santa Barbara, California. This event will feature an array of industry leaders both on the podium and in the audience.
Among the outstanding talks to be presented are a comparison of chemical process technology (CPT) against conventional and rounded toners by one of Xerox’s leading toner scientists; a discussion of the European Union’s REACH program to ensure the safety of office and plant workers handling toner and ink jet materials; a review of toner and photoreceptor production in Asia; an overview of cartridge remanufacturing in Latin America; an analysis of changes that have occurred in the toner industry over the past 25 years; and a look at trends and directions in the market for toners and photoreceptors by two of the industry’s leading forecasters.
“This year we will devote special attention to the Global Green transition and its impact on toner technology and markets,” said Tiara’s Chairman, Art Diamond. “In recent years,” he added, “consumers around the globe finally got the message: We must protect and preserve the environment for ourselves, our children, and future generations. Acceptance of this responsibility, in the hearts and minds of the world population, has grown to the point where disposability is now a key requirement of any purchase or product acquisition. For every consumable and every hardware item—paper, ink, toner, batteries, lighting fixtures, printers, copiers, CD and DVD disks, automobile tires, cell phones, etc.—there must be a means for safe and economic disposal. Putting it in other words, as consumers continue to grow more environmentally aware, and as they begin to understand the importance of sustaining our ecology, they are developing a passion for the benefits of recycling.”
“Dr. Harvey Levenson, Head of the Graphic Communication Department at Cal Poly State University will advise attendees on ‘How the Imaging Industry is Going Green,’ DuPont’s Global Marketing Manager, Ms. Carolyn Burns, will discuss ‘Recyclable vs. Biodegradable Substrates,’ and General Chairman Dr. Brian Springett will moderate a Panel on ‘How Green Can the Worldwide Toner Industry Become?’”
Registrants will also be brought current on the state-of-the-art and the state-of-the-business directly from an international group of scientists, market analysts, and corporate executives. This information is vital to strategic planning for future company activities and affiliations.
This year’s gathering of imaging materials scientists and executives will feature one of the industry’s finest networking programs. Toner and photoreceptor manufacturing and marketing executives, scientists, raw material suppliers, distributors, dealers and customers will rendezvous at Fess Parker’s Resort. Many attendees will make their business deals on the beach, on the golf course, poolside, or at one of this coastal city’s fine restaurants.
For the past 24 years, Diamond Research Corporation (DRC) and The Tiara Group have organized this highly focused event for registrants to conduct business, discuss sales, distribution, mergers, acquisitions, and licensing. Siting the conference at Fess Parker’s Resort (a Hilton Hotel), one of the West Coast’s most elegant venues, gives it a flavor all its own.
Says Terry Gorka, “While relaxing in the comfort of this luxury seaside hotel, registrants can conduct serious business, learn about the newest technical advances, be briefed on the latest market trends, meet privately with suppliers, producers, and customers, and establish personal relationships with the industry’s major players.”
“There is ample opportunity for audience participation,” noted Dr. Brian Springett adding that “Participation can be either by simply questioning the Speaker, by expressing a point of view, or by informing the audience of fresh data or market news. It is not just the Speakers that participants learn from at these highly interactive seminars. Indeed, much of the takeaway information comes from the seated Registrants, their questions and comments, refreshment and meal break conversations, and other networking opportunities”.
