International Laser Group (ILG) Announces Pennsylvania Distribution Center
International Laser Group (ILG) announced the opening of a fourth US distribution center. The new facility, located in Pennsylvania, carries a full line of ILG-manufactured products. Its main function will be to handle distribution into the North Eastern States, but the strategic location allows it to supplement ILG’s Illinois and Georgia facilities in servicing the entire Eastern half of the United States. With the addition of this new distribution center, ILG is able to provide next-day delivery at ground rates to most of the East Coast.
"We feel obligated to provide our customers with as many business advantages as possible,” stresses Gary Michaels, Founder & COO. “Freight has always been a major component in product cost. Opening the Pennsylvania facility allows us to supply fast, accurate and economical nationwide delivery. We are now able to offer cost-effective next day delivery anywhere coast-to-coast. Our customers will benefit from the lower freight expense, while the reduction in transit time means they can decrease their inventories and free up costly warehouse shelf space.”
The decision to add a new distribution center is part of ILG’s overall strategy to position itself for future business growth. Selecting a central location in New England was a response to the company’s rapidly-growing customer base along the Eastern Coast. The Georgia warehouse will continue to service the South East, while the new Pennsylvania warehouse will distribute ILG products from Maine through the mid-Atlantic states, including New York, New Jersey and Maryland. The Illinois warehouse will focus on the Mid Western states from Texas though Minnesota’s northern border, and from the Rockies to Ohio’s border on the East. The California warehouse will continue to handle distribution west of the Rockies.
