IRIS launches IRISPdf 6.0
IRIS Group, a publicly traded company announced at AIIM Expo 2007, the release of IRISPdf 6.0, the latest version of its conversion and production OCR solution including its new revolutionary compression technology, iHQC (Intelligent High Quality Compression). IRISPdf is an advanced robust production OCR solution that allows to convert volumes of scanned documents into electronic data and to supply any document management system with the appropriate file format and size. The system is designed to work 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. With IRIS new compression technology it is now possible to get compressed images in color with a smaller file size than the Black&White compressed images! That means important information contained by color can now be preserved and will not get lost anymore. You get a color image of small size of the document without conceding to the quality. In addition, the PDF files generated can be read by any actual Acrobat Reader and is fully searchable thanks to the OCR that has been applied during the conversion. The new version of IRISPdf 6.0 contains the most advanced version of iHQC. It contains easy to control parameters allowing to select the best compromise between quality and size depending on the application.
There are actually 6 different versions of IRISPdf: IRISPdf Server, IRISPdf for Kodak Capture Software, IRISPdf Server for Kodak Capture Software, IRISIPdf for Kofax Ascent Capture, IRISPdf for eCopy Sharescan OP and IRISPdf Developer Edition. Each of them has been enhanced with the new IRISPdf 6.0 features, including iHQC compression.
