Kofax Names New Chief Marketing Officer
IRVINE, CA (May 18, 2010) – Kofax, a leading provider of document driven business process automation solutions, today announced the appointment of Martyn Christian as its Chief Marketing Officer. Mr. Christian will start no later than July 28, be located at the company’s Irvine headquarters, and replace Andrew Pery, who will continue as a Kofax employee through early September to ensure a smooth transition of his responsibilities.
Mr. Christian possesses extensive executive management experience in
enterprise content management (ECM) and comes to Kofax from IBM, where he was
most recently Director of Marketing Programs for the United Kingdom and Ireland
and was responsible for marketing the company’s entire line of hardware,
software and service offerings in that region. He previously served as IBM’s
Vice President of ECM Marketing and was responsible for integrating and
marketing the IBM and FileNet ECM software and related industry solutions and
service offerings following IBM’s acquisition of FileNet Corporation in 2006.
Prior to that acquisition, Mr. Christian spent 18 years at FileNet in a wide
range of marketing and sales roles in Europe and the U.S., culminating in his
appointment as the company’s Chief Marketing Officer in 2003. Before FileNet,
Mr. Christian was with Olivetti Systems, where he helped introduce FileNet
products in Europe. Prior to that, he held various sales and account management
roles at Eastman Kodak’s Business Imaging Systems Division. Mr. Christian holds
a B.A. in Business Studies from Coventry University, is a member of the
Chartered Institute of Marketing, and is a Fellow and former Chair of the
Association of Information and Image Management (AIIM).
