Konica Business Technologies' 7035 Receives ``Highly Recommended'' Rating From Buyers Laboratory, Inc.
Konica Business Technologies, Inc. (Konica), a leader in digital imaging solutions and a subsidiary of Konica Corporation, today announced that its 7035 Workgroup Document System, configured with its optional IP-421 controller, received a "Highly Recommended" rating from Buyers Laboratory, Inc. (BLI), an independent office products testing laboratory. Independent from advertising dollars, BLI conducts unbiased tests on more than 100 different office products per year. At the end of each testing period, a report is produced detailing each product's capabilities including reliability, efficiency, cost and image quality.
Undergoing BLI's rigorous three-month analysis, including a 150,000-impression test, the versatile 7035 was clearly found to be a superior product, exhibiting exceptional reliability, ease of use and overall performance. BLI technicians specifically praised the unit's toner yield and image quality, awarding the 7035 its "highest image quality" rating for all types of output (text, line art, halftones and solids), in both copy and print modes.
Additionally, as a result of Konica's newly developed Simitri(TM) polymerized toner, the 7035's toner yield tested higher than average, scoring highest of all Segment 3 units tested by BLI to date. The 7035 also scored among the highest for copies-per-gram toner yield and had the lowest per-page cost for toner of all Segment 3 units tested.
Other features of the 7035 recognized by BLI included: above average overall efficiency rates in simplex copy mode; above average efficiency in duplex print mode; a service-replaceable photoconductor with higher-than-average yield; multitasking capabilities, including the ability to program and initiate up to four copy jobs while another copy or print job is in progress; ease of use for copying, faxing and scanning from the well-designed, intuitive touch-screen control panel; and easy procedures for removing misfeeds, loading paper and replacing toner.
"Throughout the three-month, 150,000-impression evaluation, no service was required other than a single PM visit. And impressively, not a single misfeed occurred, a record no other tested Segment 3 digital model matches," stated BLI.
Additional highlights of the 7035 include:
