Konica's 7165 Named "Product Of The Year" In The Cannata Report's 17th Annual Dealer Survey
Konica Business Technologies, Inc. (Konica), was honored with the "Product of the Year" award for its 7165 Departmental Document System in The Cannata Report's 17th Annual Dealer Survey. A total of 346 independent copier dealers participated. Within the survey, the respondents were asked to identify the best new digital B&W copier product introduced in 2001. The Konica 7165 was the leading product, by a wide margin.
"This recognition is an affirmation of the quality products that Konica continues to produce. This marks two consecutive years that Konica has won the 'Product of the Year' category. Last year the 7075 Enterprise Document System garnered the award," said Frank Cannata, editor of The Cannata Report. "Since the inception of the 7050, Konica appears to have developed an ability to produce very competitive and highly reliable products in Segments 4 and 5. We know this to be true because that is exactly what the independent dealers tell us," he added.
In its annual survey, The Cannata Report, a publication of Marketing Research Consultants, Inc., asks dealers to select the manufacturers and products that meet their standards for excellence over the course of the previous year reliability, paper handling, finishing options and competitive capabilities. "For the Konica 7165 to be honored as the 'Product of the Year' by the dealer community and for us to win this category two years running is a significant achievement. It clearly demonstrates that our dealers believe in our technology and can feel confident in recommending our products to their customers," said Richard Peterson, executive vice president, US dealer sales, Konica Business Technologies, Inc.
