Latin America Primed for Office Document Solutions & Services - New InfoTrends Study
Weymouth, MA - June 22, 2011- Latin America represents one of the largest growth opportunities for office document technology & services. According to data from the IMF and World Bank, GDP is growing 2 to 3 times faster than developed markets creating an environment that is ripe for new products and services. As companies continue to expand adding more devices to their technology fleets, a need will arise for more sophisticated workflow solutions and services. For vendors and service providers looking to diversify their product reach into alternative and lucrative global markets, Latin America is a prime target for profitable business growth over the next twenty years. To develop a better understanding of the opportunities and challenges for solutions and services in Latin America, InfoTrends is pleased to announce the launch of a new multi-client study entitled Office Document Solutions & Services in Latin America.
“Understanding customer’s current solutions and services preferences – the how, what, when, where, and at what price – will be the most challenging obstacle to vendors and service providers trying to grow or enter the Latin American markets,” commented Randy Dazo, Director or Solutions & Services at InfoTrends. This study will help office equipment vendors and suppliers to:
Understand the level awareness and interest in solutions & managed services among end-users
Understand the buying process and who is making the purchase decisions
Assess channel preferences and requirements
Profile customers to more accurately target business opportunities
Dazo continued, “The Latin America market has its own unique idiosyncrasies ranging from governmental regulations to purchasing requirements of customers. End-user behavior and buying patterns are unique in each of these regions and understanding these differences is critical for business growth. This study will help office equipment vendors and suppliers understand the dynamics of this emerging market and to identify the strategies necessary to be successful.”
The research for this project will include structured web surveys with end-users from Brazil, Mexico, Argentina as well as the Rest of Latin America which will combine responses from end-users from Venezuela, Colombia, and Chile. The results of the survey will help subscribers to better understand end-user attributes, awareness, and willingness to incorporate solutions and services into their business workflow. In-depth interviews will also be conducted with end-users and channel players. Combined, this data will enable detailed market sizing, projections of demand, and other quantitative information that is critical for business planning.
