Legally-Binding Digital Signatures Expedite Business Processes Worldwide
Laserfiche, a developer of electronic document management systems, and ARX (Algorithmic Research), a leading global provider of standard digital signature solutions, announced the introduction of CoSign Lite for Laserfiche. CoSign Lite will allow Laserfiche users to replace handwritten signatures with legally-binding digital signatures for electronic documents within the Laserfiche records-management and workflow environment.
With this new professional developer partnership, Laserfiche users now have access to technology that can sign, seal and route documents for verification anywhere; thereby, immediately expediting business processes, reducing costs, while maintaining document integrity and complying with regulations.
Standard electronic signatures, when used with good record-keeping practices ensure audit and regulatory compliance. CoSign Lite for Laserfiche enables compliance with regulations worldwide, including the U.S. FDA 21 CFR Part 11, U.S. E-Sign and UETA acts, and the EU Directive for Electronic Signatures. Once a document is signed, the signer cannot deny her/his electronic signature and the document has legal effect.
“CoSign Lite for Laserfiche is being launched specifically to meet a growing demand for electronic document and record’s integrity in internal and cross-organizational business processes,” said John Marchioni, VP of Business Development, Americas, ARX. Commenting on the relationship, Marchioni continued, “It is important for ARX to partner with such an exceptional leader in document management technology. By joining the Laserfiche team, we are now better positioned to meet the dynamic IT requirements of an even broader community of businesses and government agencies worldwide.”
“After our investigation of the field of electronic-signature solutions, we chose to include ARX in our PDP program because of their extensive experience and track record in delivering solutions that are easy to deploy and manage, yet among the most secure,” stated Tom Wayman, Director of Product Strategy, Laserfiche. “With this new quick-to-learn and easy-to-deploy electronic-signature capability, the Laserfiche platform further enables our customers to eliminate wasted time and labor hours, while optimizing their business operations.”
