Media Sciences Promotes Lawrence L. Anderson to Chief Operating Officer

Media Sciences International, Inc., an independent manufacturer of solid ink and color toner cartridges for office color printers, announced the promotion of Lawrence L. Anderson to Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer. Mr. Anderson will report directly to Michael W. Levin, Media Sciences CEO and Chairman.

As Chief Operating Officer, a newly created position within the Company, Mr. Anderson is accountable for the performance of all operational areas, including research and development, quality assurance, manufacturing, distribution, logistics, facilities, inventory control, purchasing, technical support, and information technology.

Mr. Anderson’s extensive senior operations experience includes roles as Vice President World Wide Operations for Katun Corporation, the largest aftermarket manufacturer of replacement parts and supplies for digital and analog copiers and fax machines, and Vice President Manufacturing/Operations for advanced firewall software and hardware manufacturer WatchGuard Technologies Inc. Mr. Anderson joined Media Sciences in June 2005 as Vice President of Operations.

Mr. Levin commented on the promotion, “The establishment of the position of Chief Operating Officer is a direct result of our Company’s growth. Mr. Anderson’s proven success in related senior operations management roles makes him the right person to assume this critical position.”

Recently, Media Sciences announced new solid ink sticks for use in the Xerox Phaser 8500 series of office color printers and the Xerox WorkCentre C2424 multifunction color printer. Recent expansion in the Company’s color toner cartridge line includes new products for use in the Oki 5000 series of printers.

In addition, the company announced and expanded its highly successful INKlusive FREE Color Printer Program, launching free printer programs for the Xerox® Phaser, Xerox WorkCentre, and Oki C5200n office color printers for customers committing to a two- or three-year Media Sciences supplies agreement. The company expects to release products for the Oki 7000 and 9000 series of printers by January.

“For Media Sciences, this new structure means having a senior operations management individual accountable for everything from product development through post-sales support,” Mr. Levin said. “For our growing base of customers looking for a high quality price alternative to the OEM, it underscores our commitment to delivering an ever-broadening product selection as well as the exceptional quality and value they have come to appreciate receiving from Media Sciences.”
